Lanao Norte National Agro-Industrial School is an institution accredited by TESDA that offers Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programs (TVET) under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
The LANAO NORTE NATIONAL AGRO-INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL formerly LANAO NORTE PROVINCIAL HIGH SCHOOL, Bualan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte was established in June, 1973 under the initiative of the late Honorable Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza under the Provincial funding. The operation of the said high school started with 93 First Year students and four teachers.
The high school was nationalized through the effort of Congressman Abdullah D. Dimaporo by passing a Bill to the Congress on March 25,1992 under the Batas Pambansa Blg. 213 making the school into a National high school.
The school acquired 20.45 hectares of school site through government reservation. It was surveyed in July 21,1921 and was approved on December 31,1921 in the name of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte for the Bureau of Education.
In the school year 1985-1986, the school opened annex classes in barangay Pualas of the same town, 14 kilometers away from the main school, realized through the efforts of the late Gov. Arsenio A. Quibranza.
The faculty and staff strive hard to provide quality education alongside with the Department of Education, Culture and Sports thrusts, plans and projects.
By virtue of Republic Act 7796, known as the TESDA Law of 1994, LNNAIS became one of the schools administered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
On March 22, 1997, TESDA-DECS Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1 Series 1997 was implemented that is the transfer of the General Appropriations Act 1997 from DECS to TESDA.
In the school year 1997-1998, LNNAIS started offering Post-Secondary Programs in Automotive, Electricity, Agriculture and Garments. The twofold tasks of offering Secondary and Post-Secondary programs of LNNAIS have to be resolved to meet TESDA’s mandate. A series of consultations at different levels were made to resolve the issue on the Rationalization of the Secondary Program of TESDA. In the school year 2003-2004, the high school started its operations back to DepEd under the name Arsenio A. Quibranza National High School and the Post-Secondary Programs are pushed through under the TESDA banner bearing the original name LANAO NORTE NATIONAL AGRO-INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL. A proportionate sharing of facilities, budget and personnel took place. Twelve teaching positions and twelve non-teaching personnel remain with LNNAIS, four hectares land area was given to Arsenio A. Quibranza National High School and the remaining land area has to be left with LNNAIS.
LNNAIS continues to expand for better services to the public. It serves the needs and demands of the community and develops the educational, cultural, moral and economic factors of the community.
At present, LNNAIS is initially running its Satellite Campus in Malingao, Tubod, Lanao del Norte as a realization to the request of the Barangay Council to extend trainings in the barangay. With Brgy. Capt. Leoncio C. Bagol taking the lead at sourcing out funds, a permanent one-hectare site for a Satellite campus was donated by Mayor Nelieta Q. Noval.
The utilization of the institution’s land area in the main campus is not maximized due to the interference of settlers in an estimated area of eight hectares. A series of consultations were already conducted but the claim of ownership was never put to an end.
It takes an estimated 90 kilometers distance to travel to our nearest TTI which is the Salvador Trade School in Salvador, Lanao del Norte.
Along the highways, utility transport vehicles are available like buses and jeepneys. To travel from the highway uphill to LNNAIS, a few public utility jeepneys can be availed at irregular time intervals. Single motorcycles can also be hired at a higher transportation rate compared to jeepneys to reach LNNAIS anytime.
