The Pioneer Professional Academy of Asia (the official business name of the Academy for Professional Excellence or APEX) recently received a certification of TVET Program Registration from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for Customer Services National Certification Level II (NC II).
APEX is the first, and only, academy in the Philippines to offer such kind of TESDA training registered program.
TESDA is a government agency tasked to manage and supervise technical education and skills development in the Philippines.
Along with the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), they have developed a competency-based curriculum aiming to come up with a national certification program for customer services practitioners.
The Customer Services NC II certification strengthens the goals and objectives of APEX, as it sets the pace as the only TESDA approved academy to offer such kind of program in the Philippines.
In its goal to provide quality customer service training for its students, the academy offers competency and industry-specific curriculum and employs out-of-the-box training approaches, combining classroom lectures with real-life simulations, business project challenges and other interactive approaches that develop personal excellence and relevant competencies, providing for a total learning experience.
APEX director Maan Palabrica emphasizes the importance for retail professionals to become certified on Customer Services NC II in order to keep pace with world-class standards and stay competitive in the global arena.
Retail professionals have to start treating their job not only as a means to earn but also as a profession driven by a purpose. Having the right mindset and attitude is imperative in improving every employee’s level of professionalism, thus raising the bar toward retail excellence, Palabrica said.
As APEX continues to work toward getting an accreditation as an assessment center in the near future, more exciting things are in store from the academy as it strives to promote superlative customer service in the retail industry.
