Ansuico Foundation Advance Technical School (AFATSI) is an institution accredited by TESDA that offers Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programs (TVET) under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Ansuico Foundation Inc. was envisioned by a man who has a great interest in automotive. It was a dream conceived by Mr. Irineo S. Ansaldo, the father of Ansuico Incorporated (Red Ball Express), a fast, reliable & experienced trucking industry.
The Ansuico Foundation Inc. (AFI), a non-stock, non-profit corporation was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in September 30, 1990 and was amended in March 1997 from its former name to Ansuico Foundation Advance Technical School, Inc. (AFATSI)
It was Davao City’s economic boom that draws interest to the founder to organize a technical school. The city is poised to become Mindanao’s center for investment, trade and tourism and is considered as the new investment destination and the premier growth center in the south. The situation challenges him that the local residents should be equipped with the different skills that maybe demanded by the growth in investments and subsequently jobs. Because of these grave needs and the industrialization program of the government for economic growth, Ansuico Foundation Inc. was born.
As a Human Resource Development Center on Industrial Technology, its mission is to enhance employment capabilities of the grassroots communities particularly the out-of-school youth, unemployed and the underemployed workers both in rural and urban areas through technical skills development.
For the last nineteen (19) years, AFATSI has conducted numerous technical training’s and once a training institution of a USAID funded training program in Region XI. Today, it has been the center for technology as supported by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). It has also worked in cooperation with the government and non-government agencies in the upgrading of skills of industrial workers.
