The culture of excellence, achievement, integrity and service has become synonymous to the Sumulong Family of Antipolo City. From Don Juan Sumulong, the grand old man of the opposition during his time; to Senator Lorenzo Sumulong, the world-acclaimed nemesis of the Russian lawmaker Nikita Kruschev and recently to the late City Mayor of this pilgrimage city, Hon. Victor R. Sumulong, who has distinguished himself for his visionary and excellent leadership style. Their lives have been so memorable and marked with a vivid display of nationalism and genuine service of the nation.
The tradition of excellence of these three generations of leaders and statesmen had been borne out of the importance and value they have given to EDUCATION. It is for this reason that the Sumulong College of Arts and Sciences so named in honor and memory of the late Senator Lorenzo S. Sumulong had been established.
The academic institution of higher learning is the Sumulong family’s legacy to the youths of Antipolo and its nearby municipalities. It addresses the need for a tertiary educational institution which provides access and equity to young people from all levels of the economic strata through affordable, cost-efficient, relevant, marker-driven and industry-based academic programs. The College was co-founded and managed by respected academicians and business leaders whose wealth experienced can nurture the College into one of the top academic institutions of the country.
In due time, the Sumulong College of Arts and Sciences hopes to create a niche of its own. A niche truly reflective of the ideals for which its founders have lived for…excellence, achievement, integrity and service. Thus, College is a potent instrument in shaping dreams and changing lives.
