The Pinamalayan Maritime Foundation & Technological College, Inc., a private and non-sectarian institution, was conceived by a man with a vision whose concern is to provide affordable education to sons and daughters of low income families of Pinalamayan and nearby towns. With the help of some relatives, educators and friends from Marinduque and Oriental Mindoro, the school was established on March 2002 by Ocean Going Ship Captain Master Mariner Josefino M. Lozano of Balogo, Boac, Marinduque

(PMFTCI) is a pioneer of maritime education in the southern part of Oriental Mindoro dispensing instructions and trainings through competitive faculty force, continuously updating technical and physical facilities including amply equipped laboratories, simulation rooms, and academic rooms secured with CCTV.
