The Francisco L. Aquintey Foundation, Inc. (FLAFI) was registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on April 30, 2008. Its incorporators are mainly interested in offering technical and vocational schooling to the marginalized youth. It is a family foundation. Its main office is located at 202 Baroro, Bacnotan, La Union. FLAFI has 8 regular staff, one as the academic administrator, the rest is assigned to training and administrative work, 3 volunteers, and 5 members of the Board of Trustees. Its purposes (VMG), among others are to harness value-laden and productive young adults by capacitating them with skills to become entrepreneurs or for employment, and to offer technical and vocational training in coordination with TESDA or other training institutions. The Foundation?s programs are currently focused on three short courses, Beauty Care, Hairdressing and Massage Therapy. It operates within La Union. Its sources of income among others, include: donations, training fees and rental income. Its approved annual budget for 2011 is P493,421.00.
