Corporal Works of Mercy Foundation is an institution accredited by TESDA that offers Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programs (TVET) under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Corporal Works of Mercy refers to Christian acts of charity for the physical or bodily (i.e.corporal) needs of others.

The Foundation’s name is Christian-inspired. Works of Mercy or Acts of Mercy in general are actions and practices which all believers are expected to do and are consequently considered as means of grace and ultimately, eternal salvation. Corporal Works of Mercy refers to Christian acts of charity for the physical or bodily (i.e.corporal) needs of others. In particular, these acts of generosity refer to the following:

  • To feed the hungry;
  • To give drink to the thirsty;
  • To clothe the naked;
  • To shelter the homeless;
  • To visit the sick;
  • To ransom the captive; and,
  • to help give dignified burial to the dead.

These Acts of Charity are mostly taken from Matthew 25: 34-40 where-in Christ exhorts all believers to zealously care for the needy as an assurance of their personal salvation. As the Lord once said: “Whatever you do to the least of your brethren, that you do unto ME.”
