Monark Foundation San Pedro Laguna is an institution accredited by TESDA that offers Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programs (TVET) under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Monark Foundation, Inc. (MFI) was established in 1997 with the vision of providing job opportunities to determined, less-privileged Filipino youth by providing them knowledge, skills and values that will enable them to become responsible citizens, making a difference in society.
Initially offering the course Heavy Equipment Servicing, MFI now also offers Automotive Servicing, Industrial Office Management (for female), and Operator Development Short Courses. In 2004, MFI was recognized as the Center Of Excellence in Autotronics by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). It was also awarded Best Dual Training Institution-National Level in 2006.
In 2008, MFI launched its Flagship Project, “Technicians for the World” in collaboration with Caterpillar Asia Pacific. Under this project, MFI will produce highly skilled, value-laden technicians for Monark Equipment, other CAT Dealers around the world, as well as its Mining customers. It uses the Caterpillar Apprentice Service Technicians Training (CASTT) Program and applies the Caterpillar Assessment Tools and learning standards to ensure that graduates of the program have the required skills to become Caterpillar technicians.
