The KEITECH EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION INC. (formerly Kananga-EDC Educational Foundation, Inc.) was incorporated and registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock non-profit corporation on February 6, 2009. It began its operations on June 5, 2009 with the inauguration of its technical-vocational training centre, the Kananga-EDC Institute of Technology (KEITECH).

It is borne out of the partnership between the Energy Development Corporation (EDC), the Municipality of Kananga, Leyte, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), for the purpose of empowering the youth of Kananga and neighboring towns in Leyte.

At present, the Foundation’s objectives are directed at making KEITECH into a world-class post-secondary technical-vocational training institution with the invaluable support from EDC, Municipality of Kananga and TESDA.

KEITECH

The Kananga-EDC Institute of Technology (KEITECH) is a post-secondary technical vocational training center under the ownership and control of the Kananga-EDC Educational Foundation, Inc. KEITECH was established to address the socio-economic needs of the local community and create a pool of technically-skilled human resource that can be employed for industrial and service activities locally and abroad.

KEITECH’s successful operations for the initial year is made possible through the support and dedication of the Foundation’s Members, Trustees, Officers and staff, as well as the initiative of the Energy Development Corporation (EDC) as an integral part of EDC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program for the communities hosting the EDC Leyte Geothermal Production Field (LGPF).
